• Career Counselor: One of the primary focuses of my career counseling has been in working with women facing re-entry into the job market. I have taught them how to translate their life skills into job-related skills. I have counseled work-experience students and taught courses and seminars in developing portfolios which blend life skills and work skills. 
• Professor of Business: I have taught business, career management, and communication topics at colleges and universities in Southern California since 1975. During the 1980s and 1990s, as a consultant and trainer for business and industry, I worked throughout the U.S. Moorpark college was my teaching home from1988-2005.
• Online Instructor: Online teaching is a  large part of college and university programs throughout the U.S. In September 2000 I completed UCLA’s certificate program in online teaching. The curriculum consisted of six 4-unit online classes in the basic technologies, internet/online tools, learning theories, curriculum development, and assessment of student success. I taught online from 200-2005.
• Newsletter editor: I edited several well-received newsletters for professionals in human resources and training during my career in training and consulting. Along with teaching, writing has been one of my passions since graduating from Denver University with a B.A. in Journalism.
• Training & Development: I was an active member of American Society for Training and Development for several years. ASTD is the premier organization for professionals in human resources training and development. The organization welcomes students who are planning to work in the HR field. I also edited the newsletters for local chapters.
